The academic year is almost over, and it was the 15th of August 2021 the club was started (earlier known as Budding Burgeons). It’s been an extensive yet enjoyable 8 months since FIC (Finance and Investment Cell) has been running. Since then, the cell/club has grown vividly from just the bachelor's students to masters’ students being a part of the club, taking part in active discussions, debates, and sharing memes. The club being a student only driven organisation having Prof. Phiza Maulwi as a mentor has helped us grow extensively.
The club has been running the Newsletter with more than 50 articles being published, ranging from different topics such as Indian and International Markets, Cryptocurrency, Finance, Business Deals around the world and their possible outcomes, etc.
After spending the most time online, we had our first offline workshop on ‘What is Investment and why it is necessary to invest’, conducted by the FIC team on the 8th of April 2022. The session reportedly had a massive number of 78 students attending offline, and 42 of them attending online. The feedback from the students was a positive one with everyone being able to gain an insight into why is it necessary to do something with your assets, how inflation affects their money, and how different instruments give different returns.
Moreover, we plan to begin the newsletters and workshops with the new academic year, with many more upcoming things, and events, one hasn’t seen yet, thank you for being a part, and being a great support.
Until next time, see you soon.
